Venues for PeaceHorse Riding School’s Equestrian Activities

In the Flathead Valley we are lucky to have such an enthusiastic horse community. Most of the indoor arenas serve different horse markets. Between the fifteen to twenty privately run arenas we expect to have enough venues that each discipline of riding can occur at a separate facility.

If the registration for the first year is less than full capacity, we will have some of the disciplines taking place at the same riding facilities.

Herron Park, Flathead County Parks and Recreation. Former site of Herron Park Three Day Eventing. That summer competition has been moved to The Event at Rebecca Farm

Herron Park

PeaceHorse will be able to have its international riding school use Herron Park, It is owned by the county and has hosted three day eventing, dressage competitions on its two handsome dressage arenas, and hunter/jumper competitions usually sponsored by the valley’s pony club. Summer in Montana is spectacular at this green200 acre plus green facility with approximately 75 stalls. It includes a trail system that goes all the way over to Black Tail Mountain ski resort, some fifteen miles away.

The Event at Rebecca Farm occurs on a 640 acre section of land five miles north and six miles west of Kalispell. It is a world class facility. The week of eventing takes place in the third week of July.

Flathead County Fairgrounds. Like most Montana fairgrounds this one hosts a fair and rodeo with horse racing and 4H shows. It has a traveling carnival which provides rides and entertainment.

There are quite a few private arenas which will be asked to host specific riding disciplines:

Lost Creek Ranch, Farm to Market Road, west or Whitefish

Long Gone Ranch, Lost Creek Road off Farm to Market Road west of Kalispell

Diamond B Ranch

Bar W Ranch, guest ranch with trail rides, cattle drives, lessons.

David Gamble’s horsewhisper ranch near Farm to Market and U.S. 94
