Danielle Barbeau – Hawaian Equestrienne invited to be on PeaceHorse staff

If it weren't for Dollar, Danielle wouldn't be smiling

We were finishing up our ride. Danielle talked Dollar into giving her a rear or two. Is Dollar smiling there, too.

A long-time friend and one of the most enthusiastic and fun people I have ever met has been asked to dedicate herself to her passion of horses and riding and intertwine peace and harmony with horses and people and countries.   Danielle Barbeau, this is your chance to do what you love and make love not war.   Please join us!!! You will be great at training, riding, exercising the horses and counseling our students and participants.   Let’s start you off in California on-line.   Make sure you are here this Spring for the spring thaw and the beginning of something good for each of us.   Was it Churchill that said “There is something about a horse’s back that is good for man, woman and child.”   Danielle, you know how wonderful it is to ride.   Teach others to ride and you will be able to give them a passion: to partner with other living creatures creating joy.   Oppose  destroying the very people and animals and nature that are the source of your joy and love.   “Mount ‘em up. Move ‘em out. Let’s ride together.”

End of one season, begining of the next here in Montana

Snow coming to Glacier

Every year fall is followed by the snows in Glacier. If we have been mindful, we have new friends and better old friends to show for the year. We will have new friends to look forward to, not old enemies to fear.

Friendships begin with a ride together.

The summer is over. Indian summer has been replaced by a series of hard freezes that let us know that snow will be here for Halloween. The horses know to start building their coats. We will take a break from riding, but the last couple of days have had golden afternoons The plan for the future commences. How can we ride better and make a difference? Is riding enough or should there be something more in riding? Peace with ourselves, our horses, our friends, our enemies? It is easy to love your friend.  Can you love your enemy?  We are going to try. We are going to beat swords into plowshares and have our enemies become our friends, colleagues, supporters, sharers, teachers and benefactors.

Beginning to make a little progress with WordPress and content and images

Its has been about six months since I signed up with WordPress through my webmaster Paul Spade.  I have built tons of cavaletti and jumps for the hunter jumper course where my horse is stabled  I have spent  several months painting elements of our house that the remodeling project required.  I have met with Paul Spade twice to get started.  Now I have stumbled upon how to make posts and to add content to pages.  I have not yet learned how to add an item to the menu where I want it.  If I can modify the menu, I write content for all the different pages I will need.  Maybe I need to create the page and tell it where to put it in the menu and it will be done.

There should be a way to invite readers to make comments  and submit content for pages.  Are they supposed to be able to make posts on the blog?

I would like this website/blog to be an open book.  The things that are most interesting and useful to the prospective participants are out there in the front, easy to see and find and open.  I would like to include in this blog/website how this Business or  Non-profit Organization is structured by areas of responsibility so that prospective participants can see what they could do and how that will fit into the bigger picture.

If you are interested in horsemanship,  making peace, andh meeting people across the country and the world, please send in suggestions that you think will make the blog/website better as well as ideas for the entire entity PeaceHorse.  Thank you.  Sincerely, Tom Schmidt, Director
